Our Program Approach

The Art Secrets program is about a modernized approach to the Old Masters concept, theories, and principles. We give you to the tools to open up the possibilities and the choices you get to make with art.

Why Art Secrets for Your Home School Needs?

You've searched the web -- found books that talk about art, YouTube channels that have learning, and find it difficult to structure the learning for your home school student.

Challenging Learning

Chris di Domizio is a Smithsonian Artist with a brick-and-mortar school in Atlanta, GA. He's spent his life teaching art to students with one single objective: success. When artist fail, they quit. We don't want that.

Structure

Our program is structured in a manner that breaks the learning into modules and segments to allow you to allocate the learning over the school year. This is makes it easier for you to plan out your learning calendar.

Cost

We offer a select number of grants per year that reduce the cost of the program up to 50% per year. Chris believes that it's important to encourage your student to learn creativity at an early age. Please Contact Us to inquire about a program grant.

Online Access

Our program can be accessed from any device with an internet connection. We have a partnership with Binders Art Stores in Atlanta, GA to offer a discount on supplies.

Where Creativity Meets Curiosity: An Online Art School for Homeschool Students

Do you want to encourage their creativity and imagination while meeting state and national standards in visual arts education? Look no further, our online art school is designed specifically for students at all levels, offering a comprehensive and flexible program that can be completed from the comfort of your own home.

You may look at some of the artwork on the website and be inspired. That makes us happy. We are confident that we can teach anyone that is interested in learning and sticks to the curriculum to succeed. The program currently has students as young as 10-years old in the drawing program.

  • Teaching the Student the 'Why': We teach concept and theory. Gone are the days of critiques and follow along. We teach you the 'why' and instill this in the learning, which translates to the student learning mechanics that expand well beyond the program.

  • Art Fundamentals: Explore the basics of art, including drawing and painting. Our program is grounded in all of the greatest artist from all the museums that you may take your kids too.

  • Art Appreciation: Study the works of the Old Masters while developing critical thinking skills. And a bonus is that we're teaching principles from artist that your kids can go see at a museum during the program. Field trip!

Age-Specific Learning Applications

The program is structured in single modules, so the student will sometimes find themselves challenged with learning, however our video tutorials breaks down each step into meaningful and digestible segments. Think about this in segments of learning by age:

  1. Elementary (6-10 years)

    • Develop fine motor skills through various mediums (e.g., pencils, drawing).

    • Encourage understanding of how to complete the basics of art (drawing program)

  2. Middle School (11-14 years)

    • Emphasize artistic techniques, such as contrast, value, and proportion.

    • Introduce basic art history and appreciation.

  3. High School (15+ years)

    • Focus on in-depth studies of various art mediums and techniques.

    • Encourage analysis and interpretation of artworks.

The program is designed for success. And we want to ensure that the student has all of the necessary resources and explanations to ensure just that. We encourage you to sign-up for the trial and take a look around the video library.
