Windsor Newton Watercolors: I prefer the student-grade travel kit over the professional line, as it offers a box. But I replace it with Winsor Newton Professional watercolors.




Travel Brushes: I love using traveling brushes that come with four different sizes and fold down to fit in my bag. They're perfect for capturing details and creating subtle washes on the go.


Travel Brush Leather Cover: This leather protector is great for doing just that, protecting your investment.


AquaTote Folding Water Bag: Folds up and holds water, this is a great small bag to use for watercolor when on the go. From time to time we have found a new one to leak so check it first before you go on your trip. This is still my favorite because it folds down to nothing in size.


Art Supplies on the Go

When traveling, it's essential to pack light while still bringing all the necessary art supplies. Here are some of my go-to products:

  1. Watercolor Palettes: I prefer small, portable palettes that can fit in my bag or purse.

  2. Tubed Watercolors: I like to have a range of colors at my fingertips, so I always carry a few tubed watercolors with me. I have never had to refill my paint kit. Insecurity makes me take extra colors.

  3. Brush Holders: Keep your brushes organized and within reach with a compact brush holder. the holders and caps keep the tips from bending and permanently getting ruined.

When traveling, it's easy to get caught up in the excitement of exploring new places. But don't forget to take time to capture the beauty around you through art!
